Hello! My name is Alex and I'm the webmaster of this site. I have a lot of hobbies that I keep in rotation, including digital art, crochet, cosplay, reading, DND, and lately, web design. I'm the kind of person who picks up hobbies randomly, so there are plenty more that I just don't do very often or have been abandoned. LOL.

Why Make This Site?
I've been on the internet since I was about 10 maybe (unsupervised of course). I remember watching my mother update her MySpace page when I was younger and I just couldn't wait until I was allowed to make my own. By the time I was old enough, it was the dawn of the devil Facebook.
So that's why I decided to make this page. I'm tired of the algorithms, tired of the AI slop, the censorship, the lack of customization, the negativity, etc. The list goes on and on. I wanted somewhere to just be creative and free, where I can post about whatever I want to without having to worry about playing the 'numbers' game. I'm sure I'll never fully leave social media (because it's so engrained in everyday life) but having my little corner of the internet to get away from all that is enough for me.
My Relationship
I've been in a relationship with my amazing partner Megan since 2021. We actually met at Metrocon 2021 by absolute chance. I was cosplaying one of their top favorite characters (Tamaki Suoh from OHSHC), and it was my first time ever cosplaying at a convention. My friend Pren and I were just walking along one of the open spaces when someone rushes up to me and asks, "Are you cosplaying Tamaki from OHSHC???" I was freaked out until I turned to look at them, and then I instantly fell in love with Megan right then and there! They were cosplaying as Beast Boy from Teen Titans, so they were painted green and everything LOL, but that didn't matter to me. I was totally starstruck. We exchanged Instagrams and haven't stopped talking at all since that day. They ended up living about an hour and a half away from where I lived, but I refused to let that stop me. We had our first hangout/date like a month later, and since then we have moved in together, and just recently we got engaged!
The series of events that led up to us meeting in the first time honestly makes me believe in fate. I'm not much of a spiritual person, but I truly believe that we were meant to come together on that day, at that time, at that exact place where we met. A few minutes too late, or a change in costume, or anything out of order would have meant we missed each other, but it all came together perfectly to ensure we met that day.
Megan, if you ever read this, I love you so much!!! ♡♡♡

Digital Art
For some reason, traditional art (or just drawing on paper) and me never went together. I've always been a doodler, but it never went much further than that until I got my first drawing tablet. On paper, there's no Ctrl+Z, or layers, or any of the fancy bells and whistles digital art provides LOL. Nowadays I draw digitally almost everyday, and it's one of my favorite hobbies for sure. I think I've improved a lot over the years (maybe I'll post a progression pic at some point) but I'm nowhere near perfect and always looking to improve!
