Character Summary

December 1997, the North Pole:

Sugar Cookie has been working as the current Mrs. Claus since she woke up at the beginning of November. She may not have any memories from before then, but she's determined to do the best job she can with what she's got... until it all starts going wrong.

The Spirit of the North begins speaking to her in her dreams. Santa Claus disappears from the North Pole with nearly two weeks until Christmas, with only a passing comment to Frankincense, one of the head elves, or Tinkerers, in the Workshop. Gold, the head Tinkerer, takes over in Santa's absence, but something is off about him, more than usual. He makes it very clear he doesn't like Sugar when they haven't had more than a brief conversation. He begins to act more aggressive, more sinister.

Sugar meets Tinsel Towne, a rowdy elf who works in the packaging department. He's rife with conspiracy theories and an extreme dislike for Santa. After doing some poking around the Workshop, they begin to suspect Santa's disappearance has a deeper reason. They start forming a plan to go after him and bring him back in time for Christmas. Well, that's Sugar's plan anyways. Tinsel mostly wants to give the guy a piece of his mind.

The day before they leave, the two of them catch Frankincense smoking a candy cigarette - a highly illegal substance in the North Pole. They blackmail him into coming with them on their journey. Together with Rudolph (the Red Nosed Reindeer) the party sets off into the Wild Unknown, unaware of the strife that awaits them ahead.
